Hello, I'm Brandon Athey, the founder of Fofocar Coffee Company. You might ask why coffee and not something else? For me, the answer is simple: coffee brings people together. And it's together, as a community, that we can triumph over one of the darkest battles of human existence—alcohol addiction.

When I was just 15 years old, I had my first sip of alcohol. It seemed innocent enough, a rite of passage perhaps. But by the time I was 18, I was drowning—enslaved by an addiction I couldn't control. As the years blurred into a haze of regret, my life teetered on the edge.

But one day, after a long line of miserable experiences, I had an epiphany. In a moment of raw vulnerability, I turned to my wife and said words that came from the most hidden corners of my soul: "I really do want to change."

It was then, from the depths of my despair, that I felt the existence of something greater—God. From a staunch atheist, I became a seeker, embarking on a rigorous five-year journey battling my addiction while exploring the spiritual dimensions of existence.

I dived into books, philosophy, Eastern religions, and mindfulness practices. Yet it wasn't until I discovered the teachings of Jesus Christ that the fog lifted. Standing alone in the middle of a nondescript street, tears staining my face, I surrendered and pledged my life to Christ. What followed was a transformative year, where I found not just solace, but purpose. I was finally free.

As I navigated my new life, the scale of the devastation caused by alcohol addiction became glaringly clear. Families shattered, lives ruined—cycles of despair that seemed never-ending. With a heart swollen with gratitude for the freedom and purpose Christ had granted me, I made a solemn vow: I would dedicate myself to freeing as many souls as possible from this debilitating addiction.
